Description:Our computing programs highlight the interdisciplinary nature of computing and offer the flexibility to combine studies in computing science with other areas of study. Through the program, you'll acquire the technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to create innovative solutions for a wide range of challenges.

Our Computing Sciences department has expertise in several exciting areas, including Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Multimedia, Computer Games, Software and Database systems, Machine Learning and Bioinformatics. Together, we are changing how computing science is being taught.

Admission Requirements

Additional Admission Requirements:
    This program does not allow admission directly from high school. Preprofessional Study Time: 1 year. Admission of BSc General program students to the minor in Business is by application at the end of Year 1. ★24 required (★ = units of course weight): Junior English (★6), ECON 101 and 102 (★6), MATH 113 or 114 or 117 (★3), Mathematical Sciences (Mathematics, Statistics or Computing Science) (★3), ★6 chosen from Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Physics, or Science Psychology.

    With the exception of ECON 101, applicants who do not have all required prerequisites but who present a competitive GPA are encouraged to apply. If admitted, such students will make up any course deficiencies during the first Fall/Winter in the Business Minor program.

    Admission Selection: Competitive, based on your AGPA (40%) and your average in required preprofessional courses (60%). If an applicant has repeated a course, the first passing grade is used to calculate the applicant's ranking. For consideration, you need a minimum AGPA of 2.3 and an average of at least 2.3 in the required courses. Preference is given to applicants who apply at the end of their first year of study.
